NEW COURSE
The Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association has developed the
Homebuilder & Trade Safety Course to assist the residential construction industry in reducing the
number of job site safety incidents. Participants can select either an internal or external building trade
stream. They will learn legislation and risk assessment in a common base module as well as
safe work practices from individual learning modules that are specialized for each type of trade.
Each of the trade specific modules can be taken individually, in any order and time to provide options for course delivery.
A safety passport & completion sticker will be given to participant as they complete each module.
Once all modules in a particular stream have been completed, a certificate and safety passport sticker
will be issued for the course, defining which trade stream was completed.
The base module is delivered at the SCSA training rooms, but the trade modules are designed
to be delivered on site in approx 30 minute blocks. This enables employers to easily plan delivery
on their site as part of a tool box talk.lk.
